Tense in Hindi with Tense Chart and Definition
Definition of Tense in Hindi -
Verb का सबसे आवश्यक अंग Verb (क्रिया ) होता है। Verb किसी वाक्य में किसी कार्य के होने या करने का बोध कराता है। Verb के जिस रूप से समय का बोध होता है उसे Tense कहते है।
Tense in Hindi -
Tense तीन प्रकार के होते है -
- Present Tense
- Past Tense
- Future Tense
- Simple
- Continuous
- Perfect
- Perfect Continuous
ये चार रूप कुछ इस प्रकार है -

1.Present Tense ( वर्तमान काल )
- Present Indefinite Tense (Simple Present )
- Present Continuous Tense
- Present Perfect Tense
- Present Continuous Tense
Present Indefinite Tense
पहिचान - इन वाक्यों के अंत में ता है , ती है , ते है आदि शब्द आते है। इन वाक्यों में काम का होना या करना पाया जाता है।
जैसे -
मैं अपना पाठ याद करता हूँ।
I learn my Lesson.
सीता एक मधुर गाना गाती है।
Seeta sings a sweet song.
Affirmative Sentences of Present Indefinite Tense
Rule 1 - Singular , Third person कर्ता के साथ verb में s/es जोड़ देते है।
जैसे - सुरेश खाना बनाता है।
Suresh cooks the food.

Rule 2 - Plural Subject ( बहुवचन कर्ता ) के साथ verb में s/es नहीं जोड़ते है ।
जैसे - वे अपना पाठ याद करते है |
They learn their lesson.
Rule 3 - I और You के साथ verb में 's' या 'es' नहीं लगाते है.
जैसे - तुम एक पत्र लिखते हो।
You write a letter.
Negative Sentences of Present Indefinite Tense
Sub + do/does + not + v1 + obj
Rule 4 - Negative Sentences में एकवचन तथा Third Person कर्ता के साथ Verb की first form से पहले does not का प्रयोग करते है।
जैसे - वह स्कूल नहीं जाता है।
He does not go school.
Rule 5 - बहुवचन कर्ता I, You , We , They के साथ do not का प्रयोग करते है।
जैसे - तुम स्कूल नहीं जाते हो ।
You do not go school.
Present Continuous Tense
पहिचान - Present Continuous Tense के वाक्यों के अंत में ' रहा है , रही है , रहे है , रहे हो आदि प्रकार के शब्द आते है।
इन वाक्यों में काम का जारी रहना पाया जाता है लेकिन काम के जारी रहने का समय नहीं दिया होता है।
जैसे - मनोज के किताब पढ़ रहा है।
Mohan is reading a book.
मैं स्कूल नहीं जा रहा हूँ।
I am not going to school.

Present Perfect Tense
Present Perfect Tense में वाक्यों के अंत में 'चुका है' , 'चुकी है' , 'चुके है' , 'आ है ', ' या है ' ,' ये है ' ,आदि शब्द आते हैं।
इस Tense के वाक्यो मे काम का वर्तमान में पूरा हो जाना पाया जाता है।
जैसे - रेलगाड़ी स्टेशन पर आ चुकी है।
The train has come to the station.
सुमित ने कुर्सी नही बनाई है।
Sumit has not made the chair.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense
पहिचान - जिन वाक्यों के अंत में 'रहा है ', 'रही है' , 'रहे है आदि शब्द आते है तथा
उस कार्य को शुरू होने का समय भी दिया होता है। इन वाक्यों को Present Perfect Continuous Tense के वाक्य कहते हैं।
जैसे - रोहित सुबह से सो रहा है।
Rohit has been sleeping since morning
मोहन इस पुस्तक को दो घण्टे से नही पड़ रहा है।
Mohan has not been reading this book for 2 hours.
2. Past Tense (भूतकाल )
- Past Indefinite Tense (Simple Past).
- Past Continuous Tense.
- Past Perfect Tense.
- Past Perfect Continuous Tense.
Past Indefinite Tense (Simple Past) -
Past Indefinite Tense को Simple Past भी कहते है
पहिचान - जिन वाक्यों के अंत मे 'आ', 'ई', 'ये ', 'या था ',ता था ',ती थे','ते थे', शब्द आते है तथा काम का करना या होना भूतकाल मे पाया जाता है।
जैसे - हमने अपना पाठ याद किया।
We learn our lesson.
वह कल हॉकी नही खेला।
He did not play hockey yesterday.

Past Continuous Tense -
Past Continuous Tense के वाक्यो के अंत मे 'रहा था' ,'रही थी' , 'रहे थे आदि शब्द पाए जाते है.
ऐसे वाक्यों में काम का जारी रहना भूतकाल में पाया जाता है।
जैसे - हम अपना पाठ याद कर रहे थे।
We were learning our lesson.
मैं स्कूल नही जा रहा था।
I was not going to school.

Past Perfect Tense
पहिचान - जिन वाक्यों में किसी काम के पहले या बाद में समाप्त होने की जानकारी मिलती है उन्हें Past Perfect Tense के वाक्य कहते हैं।
इस प्रकार के वाक्यों में दो प्रकार के कार्य होते हैं जिनमें से एक पहले तथा दूसरा बाद में समाप्त होता है।
जैसे - डॉक्टर के आने से पहले मरीज मर चुका था।
The patient had died before the doctor came.
अपना पाठ याद करने के बाद राम स्कूल चला गया था।
Ram went to school after he had learned his lesson.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense -
पहिचान - इन वाक्यों के अंत मे 'रहा था ', 'रही थी ', 'रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैं।
सभी Subject के साथ Had been का प्रयोग करते है।
जैसे - सीता सुबह से अपनी गुड़ियों से खेल रही थी।
Sita had been playing with her dolls since morning.
किसान सुबह से खेत नही जोत रहे थे।
The farmers had not been plowing the field since morning.

3. Future Tense ( भविष्यकाल )
- Future Indefinite Tense ( Simple Future ).

Future Indefinite Tense ( Simple Future) -
पहिचान - जिन वाक्यों के अंत मे 'गा ,गी , गे आदि शब्द आते है वह Future Indefinite Tense के वाक्य कहलाते है। इनमे I और We के साथ 'shall तथा अन्य सभी कर्ताओं के साथ will का प्रयोग करते है।
जैसे - मैं एक पत्र लिखूंगा।
I shall write a letter.
हम कल स्कूल जाएंगे।
We shall go to school tomorrow.

Future Continuous Tense -
पहिचान - जिन वाक्यों के अंत मे रहा होगा ',' रही होगी ',' रहे होंगे ता रहेंगे / ती रहेगी / ते रहेंगे शब्द आते हैं। वे Future Continuous Tense के वाक्य कहलाते है
Future Continuous Tense के वाक्यों में - I , We के साथ Shall be तथा अन्य कर्ताओ के साथ Will be का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
जैसे - मैं अपना पाठ याद कर रहा हूँगा।
I shall be learning my lesson.
वह एक प्याला चाय नहीं ला रही है।
She will not be bringing of a cup of tea.

Future Perfect Tense -
पहचान - future perfect tense का प्रयोग ऐसे कार्यों को व्यक्त करने हेतु किया जाता है जो भविष्य में किसी निश्चित समय या किसी अन्य कार्य के होने तक पूर्ण हो जाएंगे।
इन वाक्यों के अंत में चुकेगा चुकेगी चुकोगे या चुका होगा चुकी होगी चुके होंगे आदि शब्द आते है।
जैसे - मुकेश अपना पाठ याद कर चुकेगा।
Mukesh will have learned his lesson.
वह खाना नहीं खा चुका होगा।
He will not have eaten food.

Future Perfect Continuous Tense -
पहचान:- इस tense के वाक्यों से स्पष्ट होता है कि भविष्य में कार्य कुछ समय से जारी रहता रहेगा। इस tense के वाक्यों के अंत में रहा होगा रही होगी रहे होंगे आदि शब्द आते हैं साथ में काम शुरू होने का समय भी दिया जाता है।
जैसे - तुम्हारा भाई सड़क पर 2 घंटे से टहल रहा होगा।
Your brother will have been walking on the road for 2 hours.
मोहन 2 घंटे से नहीं पढ़ रहा होगा।
Mohan will not have been reading for 2 hours.
